Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-03

1. Overview

ReadyCSV is designed so that your CSV data never leaves your browser. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use ReadyCSV, and what limited information is involved when you visit our website or make a purchase. See also our detailed data-handling documentation for the technical breakdown.

2. Your CSV files and workspace data

CSV files, headers, rows, edits, analysis results, Issue Reports, and exports are processed entirely in your browser's memory while the tab is open. ReadyCSV does not upload your CSV file contents to any server, does not receive them, and does not store them. Reloading or closing the tab clears this in-memory workspace, unless you choose to save a local .readycsv project file to your own device - a decision, and a file, entirely under your control.

Local JSON rule packs you load are read from your device through the browser file picker and applied locally; ReadyCSV does not fetch rule packs from a remote server in the current version.

3. What we do not do

ReadyCSV does not require an account to use the Free Local tier. It does not use AI/LLM calls to process your CSV content. It does not use browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB) to persist your CSV contents, and it does not run product-usage analytics on your CSV data.

4. Website hosting data

Our website is hosted on Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify's infrastructure may log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) for security and reliability purposes. We do not control this hosting-level logging beyond Netlify's own practices.

5. Payments

When paid checkout is live, purchases are processed by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the personal and payment information needed to complete your order (such as name, email, and billing details) directly, under Paddle's own privacy policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy. ReadyCSV does not receive your full payment card details.

6. Cookies and analytics

ReadyCSV does not currently set its own cookies or run analytics scripts. If that changes in a future version, this policy will be updated accordingly before the change takes effect.

7. Your rights

Because ReadyCSV does not receive or store your CSV data, there is no ReadyCSV-held copy of that data to access, export, or delete on your behalf - it exists only on your own device. For questions about any personal data we do hold (such as a launch-list email address, or payment records held by Paddle), contact us at readycsvapp@gmail.com.

8. Children's privacy

ReadyCSV is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
